Yes, I don't update this anymore.  Actually, this is my first entry on here in four months.  I do have a new blog, though, which began yesterday.  I believe I'm the only one who knows about it right now, but I'll post the link here for the heck of it.

If you ask me, and I happen to like you, I'll post a link to your xanga/livejournal/blog/whatever on there.  It doesn't matter to me if you read it or not, but if it matters to you, then go ahead.  I just like to write my thoughts down somewhere.  Oh yeah, and it's not particularly personal.  Like I won't say "I worked today and it was boring" or anything.

Wow, I haven't updated this thing in one million years.  Or four and half months or so.  Whichever.  To update: I am doing great.  My credits finally transferred and now I'm changing my major (again).  So indecisive.  I played AOE2 for the first time in awhile and had just as much fun as ever.  I had my first article published in the paper.  My roommate and I have become really close and we're rooming together again next year.  You can't touch us, we'll kill you.  Seriously.  Besides going to class and studying, I've been watching a ton of "24" and "Arrested Development" and "Ali G" and whatever other random show I can get my hands on.  I still see movies occasionally.  I haven't liked a girl for who knows how long and it feels amazing.  I'm just enjoying the company of my friends and the college experience.  I can't wait to go back to Japan though.  Something will always draw me there.  Ok, I'm out, with no promise of a future update.  But there will be one eventually.

I'm hearing xanga telling me to update, so I will comply.  The past week has been so...ridiculous.  In fact, I decided today that I would no longer think about it if I didn't have to.  If you want to know about everything I'll tell you over Thanksgiving break.  I realize this excludes Vlad, but I'll find a way to tell him what's up.  Anyways, time to focus on the here and now.

The guys on my floor are amazing.  Not because they're cool to hang out with, even though they are.  Not because I can talk to them, even though I can.  Because they've saved me countless times from missing important classes.  Twice now I've had guys wake me up for an important test in the morning.  I just can't handle the early morning on my own and I'm glad they understand this.

I realized today that I need more friends.  I have some guys on my floor that I play basketball with and then three other friends...sorta.  Two of them are roommates (girls) and our friendship started off weird, with one of the girls liking me and me liking her roommate.  So now we're trying to get past the awkwardness and be friends.  I have 0 asian friends at my school.  That definitely needs to change.  I'm sick of these white midwesterners .

Well, I guess I can just post my schedule for next semester:

MWF
8:50 Systematic Theology I
9:55 NT History & Literature
1:15 Magazine Writing
2:15 Ancient Philosophy
3:25 Principles of Layout & Design (W only)

T
12:00-1:00 Newspaper Practicum-Writing

So Wednesdays are going to be hectic, but Tuesdays and Thursdays make up for it.  Now if I can get my credits transferred and gain Sophomore status I'll get more chapel skips for next semester, which will mean sleep until 11:30 Tuesdays and sleep until whenever Thursdays.  I can only hope.

I'm back...kinda.  This is like a Zack fake-entry in which I promise to update more extensively at a later time and then never do it.  That's what this is.  Take it out, enjoy it, but bring it home before 12.

The only real thing to report on at this point is that I'll be going home in about 3 weeks.  I need that so much like you wouldn't understand.  I need to go back to Japan too, but there's nothing I can do about that.

Like I said, more substantial update coming sometime in the future.

Let's get right into it:

College Days

they're awful.  i never realized this when i visited colleges, but now that it's happening to me i hate it.  because this is basically my home right now, and hundreds of people are raiding it.

Fall Break

i'm going to visit zack.  awesome.  i'll be leaving next thursday night and arriving in chicago around 6am on friday.  i'll spend about 8 hours touring the city by myself then catch a train over to wheaton.  should be a fun weekend.  we'll (read: zack) try to get pictures up.

Registration

well, i'm designing next semester to be the opposite of this one.  almost no generals, meaning i might actually enjoy my classes.  and...almost no morning classes.  it's gonna be great.

Everything else

- so it's either cold, rainy, or both.  great.
- i don't just dislike some of my classes this semester.  i hate them.
- i'm having ridiculous amounts of trouble dealing with my transcripts from Japan
- tons of work coming up.  fall break can't come soon enough.
